"比丘们,有四种诗人。是哪四种呢?思想诗人、闻习诗人、义理诗人、机智诗人 - 比丘们,这就是四种诗人。"
第三恶行品总结偈:
关于恶行、见解、忘恩,
以及两种杀生、两种道,
两种言说之道,
无惭、愚痴及诗人。
232 简说经:
"比丘们,这四种业是我亲自证知后宣说的。是哪四种呢?
有黑业招致黑报;
有白业招致白报;
有黑白业招致黑白报;
有非黑非白业导向业的止息。
比丘们,这就是我亲自证知后宣说的四种业。"
233 详说经:
"比丘们,这四种业是我亲自证知后宣说的。是哪四种呢?有黑业招致黑报;有白业招致白报;有黑白业招致黑白报;有非黑非白业导向业的止息。
什么是黑业招致黑报?比丘们,这里有人造作有害的身行、有害的语行、有害的意行。他造作了这些有害的行为后,会转生到充满伤害的世界。在那里,他会经历有害的触受,感受纯粹的痛苦,就像地狱众生一样。比丘们,这就叫做黑业招致黑报。
什么是白业招致白报?比丘们,这里有人造作无害的身行、无害的语行、无害的意行。他造作了这些无害的行为后,会转生到无害的世界。在那里,他会经历无害的触受,感受纯粹的快乐,就像遍净天的天人一样。比丘们,这就叫做白业招致白报。
什么是黑白业招致黑白报?比丘们,这里有人造作既有害又无害的身行、语行、意行。他造作了这些既有害又无害的行为后,会转生到既有害又无害的世界。在那里,他会经历既有害又无害的触受,感受混合的苦乐,就像人类、某些天人和某些堕落众生一样。比丘们,这就叫做黑白业招致黑白报。
什么是非黑非白业导向业的止息?比丘们,为了断除黑业黑报而生起的意志,为了断除白业白报而生起的意志,为了断除黑白业黑白报而生起的意志 - 这就叫做非黑非白业导向业的止息。比丘们,这就是我亲自证知后宣说的四种业。"

Tatra, bhikkhave, yamidaṃ kammaṃ kaṇhaṃ kaṇhavipākaṃ tassa pahānāya yā cetanā, yamidaṃ kammaṃ sukkaṃ sukkavipākaṃ tassa pahānāya yā cetanā, yamidaṃ kammaṃ kaṇhasukkaṃ kaṇhasukkavipākaṃ tassa pahānāya yā cetanā– idaṃ vuccati, bhikkhave kammaṃ akaṇha-asukkaṃ akaṇha-asukkavipākaṃ kammakkhayāya saṃvattati.
