140 辩论者经
“诸比丘,有四种辩论者。哪四种呢?诸比丘,有的辩论者在义理上被驳倒,而非在文句上;诸比丘,有的辩论者在文句上被驳倒,而非在义理上;诸比丘,有的辩论者在义理上与文句上都被驳倒;诸比丘,有的辩论者既不在义理上也不在文句上被驳倒。诸比丘,这些就是四种辩论者。诸比丘,这是不可能的、没有机会的——即具备四无碍解者会在义理上或文句上被驳倒。”第十经。
人品第四终。
其摄颂曰:
结、辩才、速通达,勤勉、二种有罪过,
二戒、亲近与法,以及辩论者。

141 光明经
“诸比丘,有这四种光明。哪四种呢?月光、日光、火光、慧光——诸比丘,这些就是四种光明。诸比丘,于此四种光明中,那慧光是最为第一的。”第一经。
142 光辉经
“诸比丘,有这四种光辉。哪四种呢?月辉、日辉、火辉、慧辉——诸比丘,这些就是四种光辉。诸比丘,于此四种光辉中,那慧辉是最为第一的。”第二经。
143 光明经
“诸比丘,有这四种光明。哪四种呢?月光、日光、火光、慧光——诸比丘,这些就是四种光明。诸比丘,于此四种光明中,那慧光是最为第一的。”第三经。
144 照耀经
“诸比丘,有这四种照耀。哪四种呢?月照耀、日照耀、火照耀、慧照耀——诸比丘,这些就是四种照耀。诸比丘,于此四种照耀中,那慧照耀是最为第一的。”第四经。

“诸比丘,譬如在高山上降下大雨,那水流顺低处流动,注满山涧、峡谷、裂隙;山涧、峡谷、裂隙充满后,注满小池;小池充满后,注满大湖;大湖充满后,注满小河;小河充满后,注满大河;大河充满后,注满大海。正是如此,诸比丘,这四种时,当被正确地修习、正确地随转时,将逐步导致诸漏尽。”第七经。

“诸比丘,有这四种语恶行。哪四种呢?妄语、离间语、粗恶语、杂秽语——诸比丘,这些就是四种语恶行。”第八经。
149 善行经
“诸比丘,有这四种语善行。哪四种呢?实语、和合语、柔和语、审虑语——诸比丘,这些就是四种语善行。”第九经。
150 精髓经
“诸比丘,有这四种精髓。哪四种呢?戒精髓、定精髓、慧精髓、解脱精髓——诸比丘,这些就是四种精髓。”第十经。
