"诸比丘,有五种圆满。哪五种?信仰圆满、戒行圆满、多闻圆满、布施圆满、智慧圆满——诸比丘,这就是五种圆满。"第一。

"诸比丘,有五种圆满。哪五种?戒行圆满、禅定圆满、智慧圆满、解脱圆满、解脱知见圆满——诸比丘,这就是五种圆满。"第二。
93 记说经
"诸比丘,有五种宣称证得最上智的情况。哪五种?因愚钝迷痴而宣称证得;因恶欲望驱使而宣称证得;因发狂心乱而宣称证得;因我慢而宣称证得;因真实证得而宣称证得。诸比丘,这就是五种宣称证得最上智的情况。"第三。
94 安乐住经
"诸比丘,有五种安乐住。哪五种?在此,诸比丘,比丘远离欲乐,远离不善法,有寻有伺,由远离而生喜乐,成就初禅而住;寻伺寂止后(中略)成就第二禅...第三禅...第四禅而住;由于诸漏尽,无漏心解脱、慧解脱,于现法中自知自证,成就而住。诸比丘,这就是五种安乐住。"第四。

"诸比丘,具备五法的比丘修习入出息念不久即能通达不动。哪五法?在此,诸比丘,比丘少欲少事、易养、易满足于生活必需品;少食不贪于填饱肚腹;少睡多修习觉醒;多闻持闻积集,对于那些初善、中善、后善、有义、有文、完全圆满、清净宣说梵行之法,他多闻、忆持、熟习言语、心意省察、以见善通达;如实观察已解脱之心。诸比丘,具备这五法的比丘修习入出息念不久即能通达不动。"第六。
97 谈论经
"诸比丘,具备五法的比丘修习入出息念不久即能通达不动。哪五法?在此,诸比丘,比丘少欲少事、易养、易满足于生活必需品;少食不贪于填饱肚腹;少睡多修习觉醒;对于有助净化、有益于开发心意的谈论,如少欲谈论(中略)解脱知见谈论,这类谈论他能随意获得,不费力获得,不困难获得;如实观察已解脱之心。诸比丘,具备这五法的比丘修习入出息念不久即能通达不动。"第七。

"诸比丘,具备五法的比丘多修习入出息念不久即能通达不动。哪五法?在此,诸比丘,比丘少欲少事、易养、易满足于生活必需品;少食不贪于填饱肚腹;少睡多修习觉醒;住林野边远住处;如实观察已解脱之心。诸比丘,具备这五法的比丘多修习入出息念不久即能通达不动。"第八。
99 狮子经
"诸比丘,狮子王傍晚时从栖处出来;从栖处出来后伸展身体;伸展身体后环顾四方;环顾四方后发出三次狮子吼;发出三次狮子吼后出去寻食。若它攻击象,也是认真攻击,不是不认真;若攻击水牛,也是认真攻击,不是不认真;若攻击牛,也是认真攻击,不是不认真;若攻击豹,也是认真攻击,不是不认真;若攻击小动物,乃至兔子猫咪,也是认真攻击,不是不认真。为什么呢?'莫使我的技能失去'。
"诸比丘,'狮子'是如来、阿罗汉、正等正觉者的代称。诸比丘,如来为众会说法,这是他的狮子吼。若为比丘说法,如来也是认真说法,不是不认真;若为比丘尼说法,如来也是认真说法,不是不认真;若为优婆塞说法,如来也是认真说法,不是不认真;若为优婆夷说法,如来也是认真说法,不是不认真;若为凡夫说法,乃至搬运食物的人或猎人,如来也是认真说法,不是不认真。为什么呢?诸比丘,如来尊重法,敬重法。"第九。
