29 经行经:


"比丘们,经行有五种功德。是哪五种呢?能够长途跋涉,能够精进用功,少有疾病,所食饮嚼尝能良好消化,经行所得的定力能持久。比丘们,这就是经行的五种功德。"


30 那奇陀经:


如是我闻:一时,世尊与大比丘众在拘萨罗国游行,来到一个名叫伊车能伽罗的婆罗门村。世尊住在伊车能伽罗的森林中。


伊车能伽罗的婆罗门居士们听说:"释迦族人乔达摩沙门,从释迦族出家,已到达伊车能伽罗,住在伊车能伽罗森林中。关于这位乔达摩尊者,有这样美好的声誉流传:他是阿罗汉、正等正觉者、明行具足、善逝、世间解、无上士调御丈夫、天人师、佛、世尊。他以自己的智慧证悟并宣说这包含天、魔、梵、沙门、婆罗门、天、人的世界。他所说的法,初善、中善、后善,有义有文,显示完整清净的梵行。见到这样的阿罗汉是很好的。"


于是伊车能伽罗的婆罗门居士们在那夜过后,带着大量的饮食,来到伊车能伽罗森林。到达后,他们站在外门处,发出很大的声响。


那时,尊者那奇陀是世尊的侍者。世尊对那奇陀说:"那奇陀,是谁发出如此大的声响,像渔夫在抓鱼一样?"


"世尊,是伊车能伽罗的婆罗门居士们带着大量饮食,站在外门处,是为了供养世尊和比丘僧团。"


"那奇陀,我不要与名声相遇,名声也不要与我相遇。那奇陀,如果有人不能轻易获得出离之乐、远离之乐、寂静之乐、正觉之乐,而我却能轻易获得这些乐,那么他就会贪求粪便之乐、睡眠之乐、利养恭敬称赞之乐。"


"世尊,请接受吧!善逝,请接受吧!现在正是世尊接受的时候。世尊无论去向何方,城镇乡村的婆罗门居士们都会随之而去。就像大雨降临时,水往低处流;同样地,世尊无论去向何方,城镇乡村的婆罗门居士们都会随之而去。这是为什么呢?因为世尊的戒行和智慧的缘故。"


"那奇陀,我不要与名声相遇,名声也不要与我相遇。那奇陀,如果有人不能轻易获得出离之乐、远离之乐、寂静之乐、正觉之乐,而我却能轻易获得这些乐,那么他就会贪求粪便之乐、睡眠之乐、利养恭敬称赞之乐。"


"那奇陀,对于所食、所饮、所嚼、所尝的,其结果就是大小便—这是它的流出。对于所爱之物的变化和异变,会生起忧、悲、苦、恼、绝望—这是它的流出。对于修习不净观的人,在净相中会生起厌恶—这是它的流出。对于在六触处修习无常观的人,在触中会生起厌恶—这是它的流出。对于在五取蕴中修习生灭观的人,在执取中会生起厌恶—这是它的流出。"


这是第十经。

第三品五支品完。


其摄颂:

两个家与污垢,不持戒与摄受,

解脱定与五支,经行与那奇陀。


第四品 须摩那品


31 须摩那经:


一时...(中略)...在祇树给孤独园。


那时,须摩那公主与五百辆马车和五百位公主随从来到世尊处。到达后,向世尊礼敬,坐在一旁。坐下后,须摩那公主对世尊说:


"世尊,假设世尊有两位弟子,他们具有相同的信心、相同的戒行、相同的智慧,一位是布施者,一位不布施。他们身坏命终后,都往生善趣天界。世尊,当他们成为天人时,会有差别、有区别吗?"


"会有的,须摩那。"世尊说:"须摩那,那位布施者成为天人后,会在五个方面胜过不布施者:天寿、天色、天乐、天名声、天威力。须摩那,那位布施者成为天人后,在这五个方面胜过不布施者。"


"世尊,如果他们从那里命终后再来到人间,作为人时,会有差别、有区别吗?"

"会有的,须摩那。"世尊说:"须摩那,那位布施者成为人后,会在五个方面胜过不布施者:人寿、人色、人乐、人名声、人威力。须摩那,那位布施者成为人后,在这五个方面胜过不布施者。"


"世尊,如果他们两人都从在家出家,作为出家人时,会有差别、有区别吗?"

"会有的,须摩那。"世尊说:"须摩那,那位布施者出家后,会在五个方面胜过不布施者:常常被请求而受用衣服,很少不被请求而受用;常常被请求而受用饮食,很少不被请求而受用;常常被请求而受用住处,很少不被请求而受用;常常被请求而受用医药,很少不被请求而受用。与他共住的同梵行者们,多以可意的身业对待他,少有不可意的;多以可意的语业对待他,少有不可意的;多以可意的意业对待他,少有不可意的;多献上可意的供养,少有不可意的。须摩那,那位布施者出家后,在这五个方面胜过不布施者。"


"世尊,如果他们两人都证得阿罗汉,作为阿罗汉时,会有差别、有区别吗?"

"在这点上,须摩那,我说他们之间没有任何差别,也就是说,解脱与解脱之间没有差别。"


"太奇妙了,世尊!太不可思议了,世尊!这确实足以让人布施,足以让人修福!因为福德对天人有益,对人有益,对出家人也有益!"

"正是如此,须摩那!确实应当布施,应当修福!因为福德对天人有益,对人有益,对出家人也有益!"


世尊说了这些。说完后,善逝、导师又说了这些偈颂:


"如同清净的月亮,

行于虚空之中,

以光明胜过,

世间所有星群。


如是具足戒行,

具信的人,

以布施胜过,

世间所有悭吝者。


如同雷鸣电闪,

百峰的云彩,

降雨于大地,

充满高地低处。


如是具足见解,

正等觉的弟子,

智者在五方面,

胜过悭吝之人。


以寿命、名声、

容色以及安乐,

他具足受用,

死后欢喜天上。"

   29. “Pañcime, bhikkhave, caṅkame ānisaṃsā. Katame pañca? Addhānakkhamo hoti, padhānakkhamo hoti, appābādho hoti, asitaṃ pītaṃ khāyitaṃ sāyitaṃ sammā pariṇāmaṃ gacchati, caṅkamādhigato samādhi ciraṭṭhitiko hoti. Ime kho, bhikkhave, pañca caṅkame ānisaṃsā”ti. Navamaṃ.


30/ 10. Nāgitasuttaṃ

   30. Evaṃ me sutaṃ– ekaṃ samayaṃ bhagavā kosalesu cārikaṃ caramāno mahatā bhikkhusaṅghena saddhiṃ yena icchānaṅgalaṃ nāma kosalānaṃ brāhmaṇagāmo tadavasari. Tatra sudaṃ bhagavā icchānaṅgale viharati icchānaṅgalavanasaṇḍe. Assosuṃ kho icchānaṅgalakā brāhmaṇagahapatikā– “samaṇo khalu bho gotamo sakyaputto sakyakulā pabbajito icchānaṅgalaṃ anuppatto; icchānaṅgale viharati icchānaṅgalavanasaṇḍe. Taṃ kho pana bhavantaṃ gotamaṃ evaṃ kalyāṇo kittisaddo abbhuggato– itipi so bhagavā arahaṃ sammāsambuddho vijjācaraṇasampanno sugato lokavidū anuttaro purisadammasārathi, satthā devamanussānaṃ buddho bhagavāti. So imaṃ lokaṃ sadevakaṃ samārakaṃ sabrahmakaṃ sassamaṇabrāhmaṇiṃ pajaṃ sadevamanussaṃ sayaṃ abhiññā sacchikatvā pavedeti. So dhammaṃ deseti ādikalyāṇaṃ majjhekalyāṇaṃ pariyosānakalyāṇaṃ sātthaṃ sabyañjanaṃ, kevalaparipuṇṇaṃ parisuddhaṃ brahmacariyaṃ pakāseti. Sādhu kho pana tathārūpānaṃ arahataṃ dassanaṃ hotī”ti. Atha kho icchānaṅgalakā brāhmaṇagahapatikā tassā rattiyā accayena pahūtaṃ khādanīyaṃ bhojanīyaṃ ādāya yena icchānaṅgalavanasaṇḍo tenupasaṅkamiṃsu; upasaṅkamitvā bahidvārakoṭṭhake aṭṭhaṃsu uccāsaddamahāsaddā. Tena kho pana samayena āyasmā nāgito bhagavato upaṭṭhāko hoti. Atha kho bhagavā āyasmantaṃ nāgitaṃ āmantesi– “ke pana kho, nāgita, uccāsaddamahāsaddā, kevaṭṭā maññe macchavilope”ti? “Ete, bhante, icchānaṅgalakā brāhmaṇagahapatikā pahūtaṃ khādanīyaṃ bhojanīyaṃ ādāya bahidvārakoṭṭhake ṭhitā bhagavantaññeva uddissa bhikkhusaṅghañcā”ti. “Māhaṃ, nāgita, yasena samāgamaṃ, mā ca mayā yaso. Yo kho, nāgita, nayimassa nekkhammasukhassa pavivekasukhassa upasamasukhassa sambodhasukhassa nikāmalābhī assa akicchalābhī akasiralābhī, yassāhaṃ nekkhammasukhassa pavivekasukhassa upasamasukhassa sambodhasukhassa nikāmalābhī akicchalābhī akasiralābhī. So taṃ mīḷhasukhaṃ middhasukhaṃ lābhasakkārasilokasukhaṃ sādiyeyyā”ti.

   “Adhivāsetu dāni, bhante, bhagavā, adhivāsetu sugato; adhivāsanakālo dāni, bhante, bhagavato. Yena yeneva dāni bhagavā gamissati taṃninnāva gamissanti brāhmaṇagahapatikā negamā ceva jānapadā ca. Seyyathāpi, bhante, thullaphusitake deve vassante yathāninnaṃ udakāni pavattanti; evamevaṃ kho, bhante, yena yeneva dāni bhagavā gamissati, taṃninnāva gamissanti brāhmaṇagahapatikā negamā ceva jānapadā ca. Taṃ kissa hetu? Tathā hi, bhante, bhagavato sīlapaññāṇan”ti.

   “Māhaṃ nāgita, yasena samāgamaṃ, mā ca mayā yaso. Yo kho, nāgita, nayimassa nekkhammasukhassa pavivekasukhassa upasamasukhassa sambodhasukhassa nikāmalābhī assa akicchalābhī akasiralābhī, yassāhaṃ nekkhammasukhassa pavivekasukhassa upasamasukhassa sambodhasukhassa nikāmalābhī akicchalābhī akasiralābhī. So taṃ mīḷhasukhaṃ middhasukhaṃ lābhasakkārasilokasukhaṃ sādiyeyya. Asitapītakhāyitasāyitassa kho, nāgita, uccārapassāvo– eso tassa nissando. Piyānaṃ kho, nāgita, vipariṇāmaññathābhāvā uppajjanti sokaparidevadukkhadomanassupāyāsā– eso tassa nissando. Asubhanimittānuyogaṃ anuyuttassa kho, nāgita, subhanimitte pāṭikulyatā saṇṭhāti– eso tassa nissando. Chasu kho, nāgita, phassāyatanesu aniccānupassino viharato phasse pāṭikulyatā saṇṭhāti– eso tassa nissando. Pañcasu kho, nāgita, upādānakkhandhesu udayabbayānupassino viharato upādāne pāṭikulyatā saṇṭhāti– eso tassa nissando”ti. Dasamaṃ.

   Dve agāravupakkilesā, dussīlānuggahitena ca;

31/ 1. Sumanasuttaṃ

   31. Ekaṃ samayaṃ …pe… anāthapiṇḍikassa ārāme. Atha kho sumanā rājakumārī pañcahi rathasatehi pañcahi rājakumārisatehi parivutā yena bhagavā tenupasaṅkami; upasaṅkamitvā bhagavantaṃ abhivādetvā ekamantaṃ nisīdi. Ekamantaṃ nisinnā kho sumanā rājakumārī bhagavantaṃ etadavoca–

   “Idhassu, bhante, bhagavato dve sāvakā samasaddhā samasīlā samapaññā– eko dāyako, eko adāyako. Te kāyassa bhedā paraṃ maraṇā sugatiṃ saggaṃ lokaṃ upapajjeyyuṃ. Devabhūtānaṃ pana nesaṃ, bhante, siyā viseso, siyā nānākaraṇan”ti?

   “Siyā, sumane”ti bhagavā avoca– “yo so, sumane, dāyako so amuṃ adāyakaṃ devabhūto samāno pañcahi ṭhānehi adhigaṇhāti– dibbena āyunā, dibbena vaṇṇena, dibbena sukhena, dibbena yasena, dibbena ādhipateyyena. Yo so, sumane, dāyako so amuṃ adāyakaṃ devabhūto samāno imehi pañcahi ṭhānehi adhigaṇhāti”.

   “Sace pana te, bhante, tato cutā itthattaṃ āgacchanti, manussabhūtānaṃ pana nesaṃ, bhante, siyā viseso, siyā nānākaraṇan”ti? “Siyā, sumane”ti bhagavā avoca– “yo so, sumane, dāyako so amuṃ adāyakaṃ manussabhūto samāno pañcahi ṭhānehi adhigaṇhāti– mānusakena āyunā, mānusakena vaṇṇena, mānusakena sukhena, mānusakena yasena, mānusakena ādhipateyyena. Yo so, sumane, dāyako so amuṃ adāyakaṃ manussabhūto samāno imehi pañcahi ṭhānehi adhigaṇhāti”.

   “Sace pana te, bhante, ubho agārasmā anagāriyaṃ pabbajanti, pabbajitānaṃ pana nesaṃ, bhante siyā viseso, siyā nānākaraṇan”ti? “Siyā, sumane”ti bhagavā avoca– “yo so, sumane, dāyako so amuṃ adāyakaṃ pabbajito samāno pañcahi ṭhānehi adhigaṇhāti– yācitova bahulaṃ cīvaraṃ paribhuñjati appaṃ ayācito, yācitova bahulaṃ piṇḍapātaṃ paribhuñjati appaṃ ayācito, yācitova bahulaṃ senāsanaṃ paribhuñjati appaṃ ayācito, yācitova bahulaṃ gilānappaccayabhesajjaparikkhāraṃ paribhuñjati appaṃ ayācito. Yehi kho pana sabrahmacārīhi saddhiṃ viharati tyassa manāpeneva bahulaṃ kāyakammena samudācaranti appaṃ amanāpena, manāpeneva bahulaṃ vacīkammena samudācaranti appaṃ amanāpena, manāpeneva bahulaṃ manokammena samudācaranti appaṃ amanāpena, manāpaṃyeva bahulaṃ upahāraṃ upaharanti appaṃ amanāpaṃ Yo so, sumane, dāyako so amuṃ adāyakaṃ pabbajito samāno imehi pañcahi ṭhānehi adhigaṇhātī”ti.

   “Sace pana te, bhante, ubho arahattaṃ pāpuṇanti, arahattappattānaṃ pana nesaṃ, bhante, siyā viseso, siyā nānākaraṇan”ti? “Ettha kho panesāhaṃ, sumane, na kiñci nānākaraṇaṃ vadāmi, yadidaṃ vimuttiyā vimuttin”ti.

   “Acchariyaṃ, bhante, abbhutaṃ, bhante! Yāvañcidaṃ, bhante, alameva dānāni dātuṃ alaṃ puññāni kātuṃ; yatra hi nāma devabhūtassāpi upakārāni puññāni, manussabhūtassāpi upakārāni puññāni, pabbajitassāpi upakārāni puññānī”ti. “Evametaṃ, sumane! Alañhi, sumane, dānāni dātuṃ alaṃ puññāni kātuṃ! Devabhūtassāpi upakārāni puññāni, manussabhūtassāpi upakārāni puññāni, pabbajitassāpi upakārāni puññānī”ti

  “Yathāpi cando vimalo, gacchaṃ ākāsadhātuyā;

  Sabbe tārāgaṇe loke, ābhāya atirocati.

  “Tatheva sīlasampanno, saddho purisapuggalo;

  Sabbe maccharino loke, cāgena atirocati.

  “Yathāpi megho thanayaṃ, vijjumālī satakkaku;

  Thalaṃ ninnañca pūreti, abhivassaṃ vasundharaṃ.

  “Evaṃ dassanasampanno, sammāsambuddhasāvako;

  Macchariṃ adhigaṇhāti, pañcaṭhānehi paṇḍito.

  “Āyunā yasasā ceva, vaṇṇena ca sukhena ca;
