第188经 优波迦经:


一时,世尊住在王舍城的灵鹫山。那时,曼提卡之子优波迦来到世尊所在之处;来到后,向世尊礼敬,然后坐在一旁。坐在一旁的优波迦对世尊如是说:


"大德,我持这样的见解和主张:'任何人若批评他人,在批评他人时若不能证实(其批评),这样不能证实的人就应受到谴责和指责。'"


(世尊说:)"优波迦,如果有人批评他人,在批评他人时不能证实,这不能证实的人就应受到谴责和指责。你,优波迦,正在批评他人,在批评他人时却不能证实,这样不能证实的你就应受到谴责和指责。"


"大德,就像用大网捕捉正浮出水面的鱼一样,我现在也正像浮出水面时就被世尊用大论网捕获了。"


"优波迦,我已宣说了'这是不善'。关于这不善,有无量的句子,无量的文字,如来有无量的法教 - 这就是不善。优波迦,我也已宣说'这不善应当断除'。关于这应当断除的不善,有无量的句子,无量的文字,如来有无量的法教 - 这就是应当断除不善。


优波迦,我已宣说了'这是善'。关于这善,有无量的句子,无量的文字,如来有无量的法教 - 这就是善。优波迦,我也已宣说'这善应当修习'。关于这应当修习的善,有无量的句子,无量的文字,如来有无量的法教 - 这就是应当修习善。"


然后优波迦对世尊的开示感到欢喜随喜,从座位起身,向世尊礼敬,右绕后,前往摩揭陀国韦提希子阿阇世王所在之处。到达后,将与世尊的所有谈话内容都告诉了摩揭陀国韦提希子阿阇世王。


听闻此言后,摩揭陀国韦提希子阿阇世王生气不悦,对优波迦说:"这个制盐工人的儿子太放肆了,太多嘴了,太无礼了,竟然认为可以冒犯世尊、阿罗汉、正等正觉者!优波迦,你走开,消失吧,我不想再见到你!"这是第八经。


第189经 证知经:


"诸比丘,有四法应当亲证。是哪四法?诸比丘,有些法应当以身证知;诸比丘,有些法应当以念证知;诸比丘,有些法应当以眼证知;诸比丘,有些法应当以慧证知。


诸比丘,什么是应当以身证知的法?诸比丘,八解脱应当以身证知。


诸比丘,什么是应当以念证知的法?诸比丘,宿命应当以念证知。


诸比丘,什么是应当以眼证知的法?诸比丘,众生的死生应当以眼证知。


诸比丘,什么是应当以慧证知的法?诸比丘,诸漏的灭尽应当以慧证知。诸比丘,这就是四种应当证知的法。"这是第九经。


第190经 布萨经:


一时,世尊住在舍卫城东园鹿子母讲堂。那时正值布萨日,世尊坐在比丘僧团中。世尊观察着寂静的比丘僧团后,对比丘们说:


"诸比丘,这个团体没有虚伪,诸比丘,这个团体没有空谈,清净而安住于真实。诸比丘,这样的比丘僧团,诸比丘,这样的团体。诸比丘,这样的比丘僧团,诸比丘,这样的团体,在世间是难得一见的。诸比丘,这样的比丘僧团,诸比丘,这样的团体,值得供养、值得供奉、值得布施、值得合掌,是世间无上的福田。诸比丘,这样的比丘僧团,诸比丘,这样的团体,对这样的团体施少得多,施多得更多。诸比丘,这样的比丘僧团,诸比丘,这样的团体,即使要走很远的路去见,即使要带着食物去,也是值得的。


诸比丘,在这个比丘僧团中,有些比丘已达天境界而住;诸比丘,在这个比丘僧团中,有些比丘已达梵天境界而住;诸比丘,在这个比丘僧团中,有些比丘已达不动境界而住;诸比丘,在这个比丘僧团中,有些比丘已达圣者境界而住。


诸比丘,如何是比丘达到天境界?在此,诸比丘,比丘远离诸欲...证得初禅;寻伺止息...证得第二禅...第三禅...第四禅。诸比丘,这就是比丘达到天境界。


诸比丘,如何是比丘达到梵天境界?在此,诸比丘,比丘以慈心遍满一方而住,如是第二方,第三方,第四方。如是上下四方,普遍一切处,对一切众生,以广大、无量、无怨、无害的慈心遍满而住。以悲心...喜心...舍心遍满一方而住,如是第二方,第三方,第四方。如是上下四方,普遍一切处,对一切众生,以广大、无量、无怨、无害的舍心遍满而住。诸比丘,这就是比丘达到梵天境界。


"诸比丘,如何是比丘达到不动境界?在此,诸比丘,比丘完全超越色想,灭除对立想,不作意种种想,思维'虚空无边',证得空无边处。完全超越空无边处,思维'识无边',证得识无边处。完全超越识无边处,思维'无所有',证得无所有处。完全超越无所有处,证得非想非非想处。诸比丘,这就是比丘达到不动境界。


诸比丘,如何是比丘达到圣者境界?在此,诸比丘,比丘如实了知'这是苦'...如实了知'这是苦灭道'。诸比丘,这就是比丘达到圣者境界。"这是第十经。


这是第四品婆罗门品。

战士、保证、无畏、婆罗门谛第五;

"诸比丘,对于已听闻、已诵习、已意思维、已以见善通达的诸法,可期待四种利益。是哪四种?在此,诸比丘,比丘学习法 - 契经、应颂、记说、偈颂、自说、如是语、本生、未曾有法、方广。这些法为他所听闻、诵习、意思维、以见善通达。他失念命终,生于某天众中。在那里,安乐中法句自然显现。诸比丘,虽然忆念迟缓,但是那众生很快就能达到殊胜。诸比丘,这是对已听闻、已诵习、已意思维、已以见善通达的诸法,可期待的第一种利益。

   188. Ekaṃ samayaṃ bhagavā rājagahe viharati gijjhakūṭe pabbate. Atha kho upako maṇḍikāputto yena bhagavā tenupasaṅkami; upasaṅkamitvā bhagavantaṃ abhivādetvā ekamantaṃ nisīdi. Ekamantaṃ nisinno kho upako maṇḍikāputto bhagavantaṃ etadavoca–

   “Ahañhi, bhante, evaṃvādī evaṃdiṭṭhi– ‘yo koci parūpārambhaṃ vatteti, parūpārambhaṃ vattento sabbo so na upapādeti. Anupapādento gārayho hoti upavajjo’”ti. “Parūpārambhaṃ ce, upaka, vatteti parūpārambhaṃ vattento na upapādeti, anupapādento gārayho hoti upavajjo. Tvaṃ kho, upaka, parūpārambhaṃ vattesi, parūpārambhaṃ vattento na upapādesi, anupapādento gārayho hosi upavajjo”ti. “Seyyathāpi, bhante ummujjamānakaṃyeva mahatā pāsena bandheyya; evamevaṃ kho ahaṃ, bhante, ummujjamānakoyeva bhagavatā mahatā vādapāsena baddho”ti.

   189. “Cattārome bhikkhave, sacchikaraṇīyā dhammā. Katame cattāro? Atthi bhikkhave, dhammā kāyena sacchikaraṇīyā; atthi, bhikkhave, dhammā satiyā sacchikaraṇīyā; atthi, bhikkhave, dhammā cakkhunā sacchikaraṇīyā; atthi, bhikkhave, dhammā paññāya sacchikaraṇīyā. Tassa te dhammā sotānugatā honti, vacasā paricitā, manasānupekkhitā, diṭṭhiyā suppaṭividdhā. So muṭṭhassati kālaṃ kurumāno aññataraṃ devanikāyaṃ upapajjati. Tassa tattha sukhino dhammapadā plavanti. Tassa te dhammā sotānugatā honti, vacasā paricitā, manasānupekkhitā, diṭṭhiyā suppaṭividdhā. So muṭṭhassati kālaṃ kurumāno aññataraṃ devanikāyaṃ upapajjati. Tassa tattha na heva kho sukhino dhammapadā plavanti, napi bhikkhu iddhimā cetovasippatto devaparisāyaṃ dhammaṃ deseti; api ca kho devaputto devaparisāyaṃ dhammaṃ deseti. Tassa evaṃ hoti– ‘ayaṃ vā so dhammavinayo, yatthāhaṃ pubbe brahmacariyaṃ acarin’ti. Dandho, bhikkhave, satuppādo; atha so satto khippaṃyeva visesagāmī hoti. Sotānugatānaṃ, bhikkhave, dhammānaṃ, vacasā paricitānaṃ, manasānupekkhitānaṃ, diṭṭhiyā suppaṭividdhānaṃ ayaṃ tatiyo ānisaṃso pāṭikaṅkho.

Te kadāci karahaci aññamaññaṃ samāgaccheyyuṃ. Añño pana sahāyako sahāyakaṃ evaṃ vadeyya– ‘idampi, samma, sarasi, idampi, samma, sarasī’ti. So evaṃ vadeyya– ‘sarāmi samma, sarāmi, sammā’ti.
