44. 世间经
[佛陀]住在舍卫城......"比丘们,我将为你们讲说世间的生起和灭尽。请仔细听,认真思考,我将为你们讲说。""是的,世尊。"那些比丘回答世尊。世尊如是说:
"比丘们,什么是世间的生起?缘眼和色生起眼识。三者和合生触。缘触生受;缘受生爱;缘爱生取;缘取生有;缘有生生;缘生而有老死、忧悲苦恼。这就是世间的生起。
"缘耳和声...缘鼻和香...缘舌和味...缘身和触...缘意和法生起意识。三者和合生触。缘触生受...缘生而有老死、忧悲苦恼。这就是世间的生起。
"比丘们,什么是世间的灭尽?缘眼和色生起眼识。三者和合生触。缘触生受;缘受生爱。就是这爱的无余离贪灭,则取灭;取灭则有灭...如是这整个苦蕴灭。这就是世间的灭尽。
"缘耳和声...缘意和法生起意识。三者和合生触。缘触生受;缘受生爱。就是这爱的无余离贪灭,则取灭;取灭则有灭...如是这整个苦蕴灭。这就是世间的灭尽。"
45. 那提迦经
如是我闻。一时,世尊住在那提迦的砖房中。那时,世尊独自静坐,说了这段法:
"缘眼和色生起眼识。三者和合生触。缘触生受,缘受生爱;缘爱生取...如是这整个苦蕴生起。
"缘耳和声...缘意和法生起意识。三者和合生触。缘触生受;缘受生爱;缘爱生取...如是这整个苦蕴生起。
"缘眼和色生起眼识。三者和合生触。缘触生受;缘受生爱。就是这爱的无余离贪灭,则取灭;取灭则有灭...如是这整个苦蕴灭。
"缘耳和声...缘意和法生起意识。三者和合生触。缘触生受;缘受生爱。就是这爱的无余离贪灭,则取灭;取灭则有灭...如是这整个苦蕴灭。"
那时,有一位比丘站在世尊附近偷听。世尊看见那位比丘站在附近偷听。看见后,对那位比丘说:"比丘,你听到这段法了吗?""是的,世尊。""比丘,你要学习这段法;比丘,你要精通这段法;比丘,你要记住这段法。比丘,这段法是有益的,是梵行的基础。"
46. 某婆罗门经
[佛陀]住在舍卫城。那时,有一位婆罗门来到世尊处。来到后,与世尊互相问候。互相寒暄后,坐在一旁。坐在一旁的那位婆罗门对世尊说:
"尊者乔达摩,是否是同一个人造业和受报?"" '同一个人造业和受报',婆罗门,这是一个极端。"
"那么,尊者乔达摩,是一个人造业,另一个人受报吗?"" '一个人造业,另一个人受报',婆罗门,这是另一个极端。婆罗门,如来不落入这两个极端,而是以中道说法:'缘无明有行;缘行有识...如是这整个苦蕴生起。但以无明的无余离贪灭,则行灭;行灭则识灭...如是这整个苦蕴灭。' "
说完这些,那位婆罗门对世尊说:"太好了,尊者乔达摩,太好了...愿尊者乔达摩接受我为优婆塞,从今日起终生皈依。"
47. 生漏经
[佛陀]住在舍卫城。那时,生漏婆罗门来到世尊处...坐在一旁后,生漏婆罗门对世尊说:
"尊者乔达摩,一切都存在吗?"" '一切都存在',婆罗门,这是一个极端。"
"那么,尊者乔达摩,一切都不存在吗?"" '一切都不存在',婆罗门,这是另一个极端。婆罗门,如来不落入这两个极端,而是以中道说法:'缘无明有行;缘行有识...如是这整个苦蕴生起。但以无明的无余离贪灭,则行灭;行灭则识灭...如是这整个苦蕴灭。' "
说完这些,生漏婆罗门对世尊说:"太好了,尊者乔达摩...愿尊者乔达摩接受我为优婆塞,从今日起终生皈依。"
48. 顺世论者经
[佛陀]住在舍卫城。那时,一位顺世论者婆罗门来到世尊处...坐在一旁后,那位顺世论者婆罗门对世尊说:
"尊者乔达摩,一切都存在吗?"" '一切都存在',婆罗门,这是顺世论的第一种观点。"
"那么,尊者乔达摩,一切都不存在吗?"" '一切都不存在',婆罗门,这是顺世论的第二种观点。"
"尊者乔达摩,一切都是一体吗?"" '一切都是一体',婆罗门,这是顺世论的第三种观点。"
"那么,尊者乔达摩,一切都是多样的吗?"" '一切都是多样的',婆罗门,这是顺世论的第四种观点。"
"婆罗门,如来不落入这些极端,而是以中道说法:'缘无明有行;缘行有识...如是这整个苦蕴生起。但以无明的无余离贪灭,则行灭;行灭则识灭...如是这整个苦蕴灭。' "

Avijjāya asati saṅkhārā na honti; saṅkhāresu asati viññāṇaṃ na hoti; viññāṇe asati nāmarūpaṃ na hoti; nāmarūpe asati saḷāyatanaṃ na hoti …pe… jātiyā asati jarāmaraṇaṃ na hotī’ti. So evaṃ pajānāti– ‘evamayaṃ loko nirujjhatī’”ti.
“Yato kho, bhikkhave, ariyasāvako evaṃ lokassa samudayañca atthaṅgamañca yathābhūtaṃ pajānāti, ayaṃ vuccati, bhikkhave, ariyasāvako diṭṭhisampanno itipi, dassanasampanno itipi, āgato imaṃ saddhammaṃ itipi, passati imaṃ saddhammaṃ itipi, sekkhena ñāṇena samannāgato itipi sekkhāya vijjāya samannāgato itipi, dhammasotaṃ samāpanno itipi, ariyo nibbedhikapañño itipi, amatadvāraṃ āhacca tiṭṭhati itipī”ti.
