29.(8). 龙相应
1. 单纯经
舍卫城因缘。
"比丘们,有四种龙的生类。哪四种呢?卵生龙、胎生龙、湿生龙、化生龙。比丘们,这就是四种龙的生类。"
第一经终。
2. 更殊胜经
舍卫城因缘。
"比丘们,有四种龙的生类。哪四种呢?卵生龙、胎生龙、湿生龙、化生龙。
比丘们,在这当中,与卵生龙相比,胎生龙、湿生龙、化生龙更为殊胜。
比丘们,在这当中,与卵生龙和胎生龙相比,湿生龙、化生龙更为殊胜。
比丘们,在这当中,与卵生龙、胎生龙和湿生龙相比,化生龙更为殊胜。
比丘们,这就是四种龙的生类。"
第二经终。
3. 布萨经
一时,世尊住在舍卫城祇树给孤独园。那时,有一位比丘前往世尊所在之处;到达后,礼敬世尊,然后坐在一旁。坐在一旁的那位比丘对世尊如此说道:
"尊者,是什么因、什么缘,使得这里有些卵生龙会持守布萨日,并且舍弃身体(即放弃龙的形体)呢?"
"比丘,这里有些卵生龙如此想:'我们过去以身造作两面行为(善恶杂行),以语造作两面行为,以意造作两面行为。我们由于以身造作两面行为,以语造作两面行为,以意造作两面行为,身坏命终后,投生到卵生龙的同伴之中。如果今天我们能以身行善行,以语行善行,以意行善行,这样我们在身坏命终后,就能投生到善趣、天界。来吧,让我们现在以身行善行,以语行善行,以意行善行。'
比丘,这就是因,这就是缘,使得这里有些卵生龙会持守布萨日,并且舍弃身体。"

4. 布萨经第二
舍卫城因缘。那时,有一位比丘前往世尊所在之处……(中略)……坐在一旁的那位比丘对世尊如此说道:
"尊者,是什么因、什么缘,使得这里有些胎生龙会持守布萨日,并且舍弃身体呢?"
"比丘,这里……(中略)……比丘,这就是因,这就是缘,使得这里有些胎生龙会持守布萨日,并且舍弃身体。"

5. 布萨经第三
舍卫城因缘。坐在一旁的那位比丘对世尊如此说道:
"尊者,是什么因、什么缘,使得这里有些湿生龙会持守布萨日,并且舍弃身体呢?"
"比丘,这里……(中略)……比丘,这就是因,这就是缘,使得这里有些湿生龙会持守布萨日,并且舍弃身体。"

6. 布萨经第四
舍卫城因缘。坐在一旁的那位比丘对世尊如此说道:
"尊者,是什么因、什么缘,使得这里有些化生龙会持守布萨日,并且舍弃身体呢?"
"比丘,这里有些化生龙如此想:'我们过去以身造作两面行为(善恶杂行),以语造作两面行为,以意造作两面行为。我们由于以身造作两面行为,以语造作两面行为,以意造作两面行为,身坏命终后,投生到化生龙的同伴之中。如果今天我们能以身行善行,以语行善行……以意行善行,这样我们在身坏命终后,就能投生到善趣、天界。来吧,让我们现在以身行善行,以语……以意行善行。'
比丘,这就是因,这就是缘,使得这里有些化生龙会持守布萨日,并且舍弃身体。"

舍卫城因缘。坐在一旁的那位比丘对世尊如此说道:
"尊者,是什么因、什么缘,使得这里有人身坏命终后,投生到卵生龙的同伴之中呢?"
"比丘,这里有人以身造作两面行为(善恶杂行),以语造作两面行为,以意造作两面行为。他听闻说:'卵生龙长寿、美丽、多享快乐。'他如此想:'啊,愿我在身坏命终后,能投生到卵生龙的同伴之中!'他在身坏命终后,就投生到卵生龙的同伴之中。
比丘,这就是因,这就是缘,使得这里有人身坏命终后,投生到卵生龙的同伴之中。"
第七经终。

舍卫城因缘。坐在一旁的那位比丘对世尊如此说道:
"尊者,是什么因、什么缘,使得这里有人身坏命终后,投生到胎生龙的同伴之中呢?"
