83经 阿难经
地点在舍卫城。在那里,尊者阿难对比丘们说:"贤友们,比丘们。"那些比丘回应说:"贤友。"然后尊者阿难说道:
"贤友们,有一位名叫富楼那·满慈子的尊者,他对我们这些新学比丘很有帮助。他是这样教导我们的:'阿难贤友,『我是』这个概念是由于执取而有,不是无执取而有。执取什么而有『我是』的概念呢?执取色而有『我是』的概念,不是无执取而有。执取受...想...行...识而有『我是』的概念,不是无执取而有。'"
"阿难贤友,就像年轻爱美的男女,在清净明亮的镜子或清澈的水面中观看自己的面容,是由于执取才能看到,不是无执取而能看到。同样地,执取色而有『我是』的概念,不是无执取而有。执取受...想...行...识而有『我是』的概念,不是无执取而有。"
"阿难贤友,你认为如何,色是常还是无常?"
"是无常,贤友。"
"受...想...行...识是常还是无常?"
"是无常,贤友。"
"所以...(中略)...如是见者...(中略)...不再有后有。"
"贤友们,这位富楼那·满慈子尊者对我们这些新学比丘很有帮助。他用这样的教导来教导我们。听了尊者富楼那·满慈子的这个法门后,我证悟了法。"
84经 帝须经
地点在舍卫城。那时,世尊的姨母之子帝须尊者向许多比丘诉说:"贤友们,我的身体好像变得迟钝;方向也辨识不清;法也不能明了;昏沉睡眠占据了我的心;我过着不喜悦的梵行生活;对法也产生了怀疑。"
于是,许多比丘来到世尊处,礼敬后坐在一旁。他们对世尊说:"尊者,世尊的姨母之子帝须向许多比丘这样诉说:'贤友们,我的身体好像变得迟钝;方向也辨识不清;法也不能明了;昏沉睡眠占据了我的心;我过着不喜悦的梵行生活;对法也产生了怀疑。'"
于是世尊叫一位比丘:"比丘,你去以我的名义叫帝须比丘来。"
"是的,尊者。"那位比丘应答后,就去找帝须尊者说:"帝须贤友,导师叫你。"
"好的,贤友。"帝须尊者应答后,来到世尊处,礼敬后坐在一旁。
世尊对坐在一旁的帝须说:"帝须,据说你向许多比丘这样诉说:'贤友们,我的身体好像变得迟钝...(中略)...对法也产生了怀疑',是真的吗?"
"是的,尊者。"
"帝须,你认为如何,对于色还未离贪、未离欲、未离爱、未离渴、未离热恼、未离渴爱的人,当色发生变化、改变时,会不会生起忧、悲、苦、忧恼、绝望?"
"是的,尊者。"
"很好,很好,帝须!确实如此。对于受...想...行...(中略)...当这些行发生变化时,会生起忧、悲、苦、忧恼、绝望,是吗?"
"是的,尊者。"
"很好,很好,帝须!确实如此。对于识还未离贪、未离欲、未离爱、未离渴、未离热恼、未离渴爱的人,当识发生变化、改变时,会生起忧、悲、苦、忧恼、绝望,是吗?"
"是的,尊者。"
"很好,很好,帝须!确实如此。对于识还未离贪的人是这样。帝须,你认为如何,对于色已经离贪、离欲、离爱、离渴、离热恼、离渴爱的人,当色发生变化、改变时,会生起忧、悲、苦、忧恼、绝望吗?"
"不会的,尊者。"
"很好,很好,帝须!确实如此。对于色已离贪的人...受...想...行...识已离贪、离欲、离爱、离渴、离热恼、离渴爱的人,当识发生变化、改变时,会生起忧、悲、苦、忧恼、绝望吗?"
"不会的,尊者。"
"很好,很好,帝须!确实如此。对于识已离贪的人是这样。帝须,你认为如何,色是常还是无常?"
"是无常,尊者。"
"受、想、行、识是常还是无常?"
"是无常,尊者。"
"所以...(中略)...如是见者...(中略)...不再有后有。"
"帝须,假设有两个人——一个不熟悉道路,一个熟悉道路。不熟悉道路的人向熟悉道路的人问路。熟悉道路的人会这样说:'来吧,贤友,这就是道路。走一会儿,你会看到一个岔路口,放弃左边的路,选择右边的路。再走一会儿,你会看到一片茂密的森林。继续走,你会看到一个大沼泽。再往前走,你会看到一个深渊。再往前走,你会看到一片平坦美丽的地方。'"
"帝须,我讲这个比喻是要说明其中的含义:
'不熟悉道路的人'是指凡夫。
'熟悉道路的人'是指如来、阿罗汉、正等正觉者。
'岔路口'是指疑惑。
'左路'是指八邪道,即:邪见...(中略)...邪定。
'右路'是指八正道,即:正见...(中略)...正定。
'茂密的森林'是指无明。
'大沼泽'是指欲望。
'深渊'是指忿怒与绝望。
'平坦美丽的地方'是指涅槃。
欢喜吧,帝须!欢喜吧,帝须!我会以教导、帮助和教诫来支持你。"
这是世尊所说。帝须尊者欢喜信受世尊的教导。

83. Sāvatthinidānaṃ Tatra kho āyasmā ānando bhikkhū āmantesi– “āvuso, bhikkhave”ti. “Āvuso”ti kho te bhikkhū āyasmato ānandassa paccassosuṃ. Āyasmā ānando etadavoca–
“Puṇṇo nāma, āvuso, āyasmā mantāṇiputto amhākaṃ navakānaṃ sataṃ bahūpakāro hoti. So amhe iminā ovādena ovadati– ‘upādāya, āvuso ānanda, asmīti hoti, no anupādāya. Kiñca upādāya asmīti hoti, no anupādāya? Rūpaṃ upādāya asmīti hoti, no anupādāya. Vedanaṃ… saññaṃ… saṅkhāre… viññāṇaṃ upādāya asmīti hoti, no anupādāya’”.
“Seyyathāpi, āvuso ānanda, itthī vā puriso vā daharo yuvā maṇḍanakajātiko ādāse vā parisuddhe pariyodāte acche vā udakapatte sakaṃ mukhanimittaṃ paccavekkhamāno upādāya passeyya, no anupādāya; evameva kho, āvuso ānanda, rūpaṃ upādāya asmīti hoti, no anupādāya. Vedanaṃ… saññaṃ… saṅkhāre… viññāṇaṃ upādāya asmīti hoti, no anupādāya.
“Taṃ kiṃ maññasi, āvuso ānanda, ‘rūpaṃ niccaṃ vā aniccaṃ vā’”ti? ‘Aniccaṃ, āvuso’. Vedanā… saññā saṅkhārā… viññāṇaṃ niccaṃ vā aniccaṃ vā’ti? ‘Aniccaṃ, āvuso’. 84. Sāvatthinidānaṃ. Tena kho pana samayena āyasmā tisso bhagavato pitucchāputto sambahulānaṃ bhikkhūnaṃ evamāroceti– “api me, āvuso, madhurakajāto viya kāyo; disāpi me na pakkhāyanti; dhammāpi maṃ na paṭibhanti; thinamiddhañca me cittaṃ pariyādāya tiṭṭhati; anabhirato ca brahmacariyaṃ carāmi; hoti ca me dhammesu vicikicchā”ti.
Atha kho sambahulā bhikkhū yena bhagavā tenupasaṅkamiṃsu; upasaṅkamitvā bhagavantaṃ abhivādetvā ekamantaṃ nisīdiṃsu. “Seyyathāpi, tissa, dve purisā– eko puriso amaggakusalo, eko puriso maggakusalo. Tamenaṃ so amaggakusalo puriso amuṃ maggakusalaṃ purisaṃ maggaṃ puccheyya. So evaṃ vadeyya– ‘ehi, bho purisa, ayaṃ maggo. Tena muhuttaṃ gaccha. Tena muhuttaṃ gantvā dakkhissasi dvedhāpathaṃ, tattha vāmaṃ muñcitvā dakkhiṇaṃ gaṇhāhi. Tena muhuttaṃ gaccha. Tena muhuttaṃ gantvā dakkhissasi tibbaṃ vanasaṇḍaṃ. Tena muhuttaṃ gaccha. Tena muhuttaṃ gantvā dakkhissasi mahantaṃ ninnaṃ pallalaṃ Tena muhuttaṃ gaccha. “Upamā kho myāyaṃ, tissa, katā atthassa viññāpanāya. Ayaṃ cevettha attho– ‘puriso amaggakusalo’ti kho, tissa, puthujjanassetaṃ adhivacanaṃ. ‘Puriso maggakusalo’ti kho, tissa, tathāgatassetaṃ adhivacanaṃ arahato sammāsambuddhassa. ‘Dvedhāpatho’ti kho, tissa, vicikicchāyetaṃ adhivacanaṃ ‘Vāmo maggo’ti kho, tissa, aṭṭhaṅgikassetaṃ micchāmaggassa adhivacanaṃ, seyyathidaṃ– micchādiṭṭhiyā …pe… micchāsamādhissa. ‘Dakkhiṇo maggo’ti kho, tissa, ariyassetaṃ aṭṭhaṅgikassa maggassa adhivacanaṃ, seyyathidaṃ– sammādiṭṭhiyā …pe… sammāsamādhissa. ‘Tibbo vanasaṇḍo’ti kho, tissa, avijjāyetaṃ adhivacanaṃ. ‘Mahantaṃ ninnaṃ pallalan’ti kho, tissa, kāmānametaṃ adhivacanaṃ. ‘Sobbho papāto’ti kho, tissa, kodhūpāyāsassetaṃ adhivacanaṃ. ‘Samo bhūmibhāgo ramaṇīyo’ti kho, tissa, nibbānassetaṃ adhivacanaṃ.
