第八百二十章 亲自实践修习五根

有个时候,佛陀住在舍卫城的东河边,有一天舍利弗尊者来到佛陀的住所,他顶礼佛陀后,就在一旁坐下。佛陀对舍利弗尊者说:“「已经修习五根,已经持之以恒、坚持不懈的修行五根(五根解释,见第八百一十九章),就能获得不死的立足点,就能到达不死的解脱彼岸,就能灭尽生死轮回(不死、生死轮回解释,见第五百七十八章)」。舍利弗,你相信这句话吗?”
舍利弗尊者回答:“世尊,我是坚信这句话的,因为我已经亲自实践的修习信根、精进根、念根、定根、慧根,这五根,我已经持之以恒、坚持不懈的修习五根,我明白修习五根能够获得不死的坚实立足点,能够到达不死的解脱彼岸,能够灭尽生死轮回。
世尊,那些没有亲自实践修习信根、精进根、念根、定根、慧根,这五根的世间人或众生,他们不知道五根是什么,他们不会去修习五根,他们无法亲身体验到由低到高的清净境界,他们不能开启解脱的智慧,因此他们就不能获得不死的坚实立足点,不能到达不死的解脱彼岸,不能灭尽生死轮回,他们就不会相信这句话。
世尊,那些已经亲自实践修习信根、精进根、念根、定根、慧根,这五根的世间人或众生,他们知道五根是什么,他们能够由修习五根亲身体验到由低到高的清净境界,他们能够由修习五根开启解脱的智慧,因此他们就能获得不死的坚实立足点,就能到达不死的解脱彼岸,就能灭尽生死轮回,他们就会对这句话深信不疑。”
佛陀说:“舍利弗,你说的很好!你说的非常的正确。只有亲自持之以恒的去实践修习信根、精进根、念根、定根、慧根,这五根的世间人或众生,他们才会对「已经修习五根,已经持之以恒、坚持不懈的修行五根,就能获得不死的立足点,就能到达不死的解脱彼岸,就能灭尽生死轮回」这句话深信不疑,因为他们已经由修习五根亲身体验到了由低到高的清净境界,他们已经由修习五根开启了解脱的智慧。”
佛陀说法后,舍利弗尊者再次虔诚恭敬的顶礼佛陀,随喜赞叹佛陀说法的无量功德,并按着佛陀所说的法去修行。

514. Evaṃ me sutaṃ– ekaṃ samayaṃ bhagavā sāvatthiyaṃ viharati pubbakoṭṭhake.
